The episode begins after last week’s tribal council. Deshawn is upset with Heather’s antics. He says it was a train wreck when Heather began whispering in people’s ears. After the chaos that ensued, Shan wanted to vote Heather out, which Deshawn was not on board with. Deshawn is bothered by Shan, but she’s annoyed with him too. She points out how everyone ended up doing what Deshawn wanted in the end, but he still chose to pout about it. Due to all the bickering, Evvie is hopeful the game will flip after tonight.
Deshawn and Shan try to repair their relationship the next morning. They seem to be on good terms, but Shan starts talking game during their conversation. In his confessional, Deshawn admits he is still annoyed with Shan. Deshawn does not want to rely on Shan anymore, so he plans to play the middle. Meanwhile, Naseer and Heather try to clear the air too. Heather insists that she did not vote for Naseer, but Naseer points out how Heather threw his name out last night. The conversation ends with Naseer telling Heather he does not believe her. In a confessional, Heather admits her plan last night backfired. Meanwhile, Ricard opens up about being deaf in his right ear. He relies on reading lips, but he admits it can be frustrating. More game conversations take place later. Xander and Erika talk game and bring up the possibility of working together to usurp the power alliance. They’re sitting alone together, which other castaways notice. Shan suggests to her allies that they should target Erika at the upcoming tribal council.
It’s time for the immunity challenge. It’s an endurance challenge that requires them to balance themselves on a perch with their hands on handle bars behind their heads. If they fall, then they are eliminated from the challenge. There’s also a twist. Jeff says they will be divided into two groups and vote someone out separately. In addition, one person from each group will win immunity tonight. The last one standing for their group will also win chicken and beef stew for their group. The challenge begins after they are divided into groups. Erika, Shan, Ricard, Naseer, and Heather are in the yellow group. Deshawn, Evvie, Liana, Xander, and Danny are in the blue group. Evvie is the first person to fall. She’s followed by Heather, Liana, and Shan. Danny is the next person to fall. Only Deshawn and Xander remain for the blue group. Ricard drops next, meaning only Naseer and Erika remain for the yellow group. Naseer drops next, which means Erika wins immunity! Since all the yellow group members are out, the blue group will win the chicken and beef stew reward. Deshawn and Xander are still hanging on 30 minutes into the challenge. Deshawn eventually drops. Xander wins immunity!
Xander is happy to have immunity tonight, especially since he also has two advantages in his possession. Evvie is relying on Xander and Deshawn to vote out either Danny or Liana tonight. Evvie pulls Xander aside, and Evvie wants Liana gone. Xander admits it would be “fantastic” to get rid of Liana tonight. Meanwhile, Danny tells Deshawn that they are voting out Evvie tonight. Danny is confident it will be an easy vote since Liana and Deshawn are in his alliance. However, Liana is worried about Xander saving Evvie with his immunity idol. Liana talks game with Xander, and she brings up Xander giving her his immunity idol to hold onto to build trust. Xander is not on board with that idea, and he’s amused Liana feels comfortable enough to ask him of that after she’s been targeting him. Meanwhile, on the other group, Shan wants to vote for Heather tonight. She’s relying on Naseer and Ricard to be the three votes to send Heather home. Naseer even tells Heather and Erika that Heather is going home tonight. He also refuses to play his idol for Heather tonight. Heather and Erika are aware they don’t have many options, but they hope they can somehow get Shan out tonight. Back on the other group, Xander tells Deshawn and Danny that Liana threw Deshawn’s name out as a target. Deshawn is now concerned about Liana. Later, Danny informs Xander that they are going to vote for Evvie tonight. Xander is now contemplating using his hidden immunity idol to save Evvie. Back on the other group, Ricard pulls Heather and Erika aside. Ricard does not view Heather as a threat, so he wants to vote with Heather and Erika to blindside Naseer. Heather and Erika are on board with this plan since it saves Heather. Ricard shares this plan with Shan, but she completely disagrees with Ricard’s plan to blindside Naseer. Shan is adamant that Heather needs to be voted out tonight, but Ricard says Naseer is a bigger threat than Heather. In a confessional, Ricard says he knows Shan has his back, but he calls her high maintenance. He says if Shan is unwilling to budge, then Heather could be voted out tonight after all.
The group of Shan, Ricard, Naseer, Heather, and Erika are the first to attend tribal council. Ricard says Heather is the clear choice. Heather admits she’s the easy choice. Heather says she doesn’t have a person to point to since she has nothing to save herself. Erika says they didn’t give up during their chats after the immunity challenge. Erika points out how she and Heather are a voting bloc, but everyone knows where the advantages are. Shan and Naseer admit to having the hidden immunity idols. Ricard says they can’t use advantages as a reason to target someone this round since multiple people are in possession of an advantage. Shan says there seems to be an easy choice, but the only safe person is Erika. Naseer says it’s a hard situation since he has a relationship with Heather, but it’s the vote he has to make. Heather gets emotional about how she’s waited so long to play Survivor. She’s proud she’s made it this far. Afterwards, it’s time to vote. We see Erika vote for Naseer and Naseer vote for Heather. But who is getting voted out tonight?

Naseer is the ninth person out and the second member of the jury. Naseer joins Tiffany on the jury seats before the next group comes in.
The next group walks in, and they are stunned to see that Naseer was voted out. Danny thought Naseer would’ve saved himself with his hidden immunity idol. The talk turns to their vote, and Danny says Xander is the only one safe. Deshawn says there is nowhere to hide with only four people vulnerable. Liana agrees tonight is a dangerous position and her heart is beating out of her chest. Xander admits that people were kissing up to him today since he has immunity, but it’s complicated to figure out who is being genuine tonight. Jeff asks if they feel comfortable with their plan tonight, and they all admit they are comfortable. Deshawn says they will soon find out who was telling the truth and who wasn’t. Evvie compares their situation to a roller coaster, but she’s hopeful the vote will go her way tonight. Afterwards, it’s time for the vote.
