Survivor Season 47 Week 2 Recap and Live Blog

A new episode of Survivor 47 airs tonight on CBS. Read a live recap here.

The episode begins with Tuku returning to camp after tribal council. TK was blindsided, and Kyle was left out of the plan too. He’s concerned he could be on the chopping block. Gabe played his hidden immunity idol, even though he didn’t need to. After several castaways were blindsided with idols in their pockets last season, Gabe didn’t want to take any chances. Caroline and Sue are happy to have successfully blindsided TK. Sue is bothered that Kyle voted for her. She wants revenge against him.

Meanwhile on the Gata tribe, no one is sleeping well. The shelter needs to be fixed. The next morning, the tribe agrees to improve the shelter. Sam would rather use the fishing kit to get food instead of trying to fix the shelter, but he goes along with the plan. Sam thinks Anika is too bossy and is trying too hard to be the leader of the tribe. Sam is visibly annoyed with Anika, which Andy notices. Andy thinks the tension between Anika and Sam could give him a turnaround in the game.

Rome is still annoying everyone on the Lavo tribe. He hasn’t let anyone else try using the fishing gear. Rome, on the other hand, believes he’s doing all the work and no one else is contributing. Rome ate two of the four fish he caught himself.

Back on the Gata tribe, Andy wants to solidify a majority alliance with Sam and Sierra. He offers to give Sierra his Shot in the Dark advantage to gain trust with her. Sierra is surprised, but she admits in her confessional that this does make her feel better about trusting Andy.

Meanwhile on the Tuku tribe, Gabe wants Kyle to stay in the game. He thinks Kyle will always be loyal to the Tuku tribe moving forward. Gabe tells Kyle that Tiyana should be their next target. He adds that Sue and Caroline are a package deal. However, Kyle doesn’t want to vote out Tiyana. Kyle talks to Sue and Caroline and throws Gabe under the bus. Kyle tells them that Gabe called them his goats. However, Sue still has a grudge. She won’t let it go that Kyle voted for her last night. She calls Kyle desperate, and she has no interest working with him.

A boat arrives at each tribe. One person must board the boat, likely going on a Journey for an advantage. Tuku draws rocks, and Kyle ends up boarding the boat. Anika volunteers to go, which annoys Sam since she’s his next target. Lavo plays rock paper scissors, and Rome gets to board the boat. Aysha hopes Rome doesn’t return with another advantage since he already has an idol.

Kyle, Rome, and Anika get to know each other and gossip about their tribes. Eventually, they must take a different path. They are each presented with a 1/3 chance to win an advantage. They have a 2/3 chance to lose their vote. After their first draw, they are allowed to draw again if they didn’t first draw the advantage. It will be 50/50 for the advantage or to lose their vote for two tribal councils. Kyle draws and lost his vote. He doesn’t draw again. Anika also lost her vote. She doesn’t draw again either. Rome, however, draws the advantage. He won the Steal-a-Vote advantage. He gets to steal someone’s vote at an upcoming tribal council.

Kyle, Anika, and Rome return to camp. Kyle tells the truth about what happened. Anika lies and says she didn’t risk her vote, but she later comes clean to Sierra and Rachel. Rome also lies. He claims that he lost his vote to the group, but he later admits the truth to Teeny, Genevieve, and Kishan. Rome wants Aysha and Sol to be on the outs of the tribe. Even though Teeny wants him out, Teeny feels like she must work with Rome since he has a hidden immunity idol and a Steal-a-Vote advantage.

It’s time for the immunity challenge. They must climb a tall tower and leap into the ocean. Afterwards, they must go across a balance beam and collect keys from buoys. Once they have all their keys, they will unlock puzzle pieces. The first two tribes to complete their puzzle will win immunity and camp supplies.

The challenge begins. Kyle gets Tuku to an early lead. Andy’s struggles with the balance beam puts Gata in last place. However, after Andy finally gets across, Sam and Anika manage to catch up while Aysha and Kishan struggle on the balance beam. Lavo is now in last place while Tuku remains in the lead. Teeny also struggles on the balance beam. By the time Lavo gets started on their seahorse puzzle, Tuku and Gata are already halfway done. Eventually, Gata wins immunity! Lavo has no chance catching up to Tuku. Tuku places their last puzzle pieces. Tuku wins immunity! Lavo will go to tribal council tonight.

Lavo returns to camp. Aysha pitches targeting Genevieve to Teeny since Rome likely has protection with an idol. Teeny feels like she’s in a spot where she has to work with Rome, but she wants to protect Aysha. Later, Rome talks to Teeny about voting out Aysha. Teeny tries to shift the target to Sol, and she manages to persuade Rome to vote for Sol instead. She claims Sol will be more likely to find a hidden immunity idol. Afterwards, Rome talks to Sol. Rome tells him that Aysha is going home tonight. He’s lying to Sol since he already agreed to vote out Sol. Rome continues lying about losing his vote too.

Later, Kishan and Teeny let Aysha know what the plan is. In order to save Aysha, they will have to vote out Sol tonight. They also confirm that Rome told them he found the hidden immunity idol. They believe he may play it for himself or Genevieve tonight. Aysha still believes they should vote for Genevieve tonight. She thinks voting out Sol would be a mistake, and this worries Teeny and Kishan. They say if Aysha is unwilling to adapt and vote out Sol, then they might not be able to work with her after all.

It’s time for tribal council. Jeff asks what does the tribe hope for. Genevieve says everyone is emotional since they’re killing someone’s dream, but she hopes the remaining five will be a cohesive unit. Sol admits he has an uneasy feeling tonight. Rome says people can overthink and get paranoid. Aysha adds that plans can change, and they have to wonder about other conversations. Kishan candidly says he’s close to the core four, but he won’t name names. Teeny says the group that is the most solid won’t have to reassure each other over and over again. Sol wonders if he’s going crazy with paranoia. He can’t help but wonder how many conversations happened without him. Eventually, Aysha and Sol make eyes at each other. They seem to catch on that they are out of the loop of the plan tonight. Before voting, Aysha says she hopes the plan is still the same. Afterwards, it’s time to vote.

Before Jeff reads the votes, Rome plays his hidden immunity for himself.

The first vote is for…

Rome

Genevieve

Sol

Aysha

Aysha

Aysha

Aysha is the third person voted out of Survivor 47. She points at Kishan and Teeny and says “That hurts.” She asks Sol if he was part of the plan, and he confirms that he was not.

And that wraps up tonight’s episode of Survivor. Thanks for reading, and come back next week for another live recap.
