The Television Critics Association has released a list of nominees for their 28th annual event, the winners to be announced at an invitation only presentation set for Saturday, July 28, 2012, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The event is part of the group’s fall TCA media tour.
Shows in the Outstanding Achievement in Reality Programming are: The Amazing Race, Dancing with the Stars, The Glee Project, So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing with the Stars. No American Idol, which was better than at least one of those shows this year. coughthevoicecough.
I’ll be rooting for either SYTYCD or The Glee Project to take that category. But it will probably be The Amazing Race. They won in the category last year.
Smash was nominated in the Outstanding New Program category. Also, Glee was once again shut out of all the comedy categories. Read the list of nominees at TVCritics.org
Correction: I got this awards ceremony confused with the 2nd annual Broadcast Journalists Critics Choice Awards, which were announced yesterday. The Broadcast awards were introduced last summer.
