The Masked Singer 10 Holiday Sing Along Special – Who is Behind the Mask?
The Masked Singer aired the show’s annual Christmas themed “Holiday Sing Along Special” Tuesday night (Dec 12) which is basically a clip show with a few Christmas carols added for fun.
Only two episodes remain on The Masked Singer season 10. On Wednesday (Dec 13) it’s the Group C final, featuring Candelabra, Donut and Anteater. Two celebrities will be eliminated, and the winner will join Sea Queen, Cow and Gazelle for the Grand Finale, set to air on December 20.
In the meantime, enjoy a few holiday songs performed by the remaining Masked Celebrities.
Gazelle – Underneath the Tree by Kelly Clarkson
Gazelle, already set in the finale, is rumored to be Janel Parrish from the TV show Pretty Little Liars. The clues pointed to her birthplace in Hawaii and her struggle with feeling like an outsider because of her mixed heritage. The hints implied that her family made big sacrifices to accommodate her career. Janel’s entire family moved to Burbank to allow her to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.
Cow – What Christmas Means to Me by Stevie Wonder
When it began to dawn on the judges–Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger–that Cow was the R&B singer Ne-Yo, host Nick Cannon stepped in to forcefully say, “I KNOW THIS ISN’T NE-YO!” But guess what. Cow is for sure Ne-Yo. His vocals and dance moves are hard to deny. The question becomes: Is Nick head faking the judges to keep them off track, or is he really that dense?
Sea Queen – Winter Wonderland by Ella Fitzgerald
Is it pointless for The Masked Singer to cast instantly identifiable voices as contestants? The judges have already namechecked Sea Queen as Macy Gray. Who could mistake that gravelly odd tone? Like Gazelle and Cow, she is competing in the Grand finale. Also, Macy is no stranger to competitive reality shows. She has appeared on Dancing with the Stars, American Song Contest and the UK version of The Masked Singer, among other shows.
Donut – Frosty the Snowman by Gene Autry
Donut will compete tonight (Dec 13) alongside Candelabra and Anteater for the fourth spot in the Grand Finale. All the clues point to Dukes of Hazzard star, John Schneider, as the celebrity behind the mask. He had the panel wiping away fake tears last time as he dedicated a performance of “I Do (Cherish You)” to his late wife. Schneider lost his wife to cancer earlier this year.
