The Masked Singer season 10 premiers with Nick Cannon as host, Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger on the judges panel.
The first five mystery celebrities include Gazelle, Diver, S’More, Rubber Ducky and Cow. One celebrity will be unmasked by the end of the night.
Gazelle
Clues: She’s always lept into opportunities be on stage. As a teenager she performed in a national talent competition, but crashed and burned. She almost swore off singing. Music was her first love. Georgia bulldogs?
Performance: Uninvited by Alanis Morissette – We previewed this performance earlier. Gazelle can sing. If she was on a talent show, perhaps she’s one of many who were turned away at the time only to find success later? Onstage clue: Delivered by Snake Oil host David Spade. “Movie Soundtrack” is the clue. “Not only do I act in movies, but I also sing in them.” Jenny guesses Camila Méndez. Robin guesses Lucy Hale (she competed on American Idol Jr. as a kid) Nicole guesses Vanessa Hudgens.
Diver
Clues: Extra Extra read all about it. He’s a headline grabber. He’s made mistakes. But he did it for love. Everyone hates him. He’s a scapegoat. He’s doing a reputation rescue here. “I’m not ready to go back to the real world just yet.”
Performance: Any Way You Want It by Journey – FOX previewed Diver earlier today. Diver is a decent singer and performer. But all the clues point to a TV personality of some sort who can carry a tune, rather than a professional singer. Fans think Diver is Tom Sandoval from Vanderpump Rules who is hated for cheating on his girlfriend. Onstage clue: “11 million eyes on Diver.” The more people who talk about my business, the more I’m out of it.” Nicole guesses Adam Levine. Ken guesses Tom Sandoval. Ken might be correct. Jenny guesses Scott Disick.
S’more
Clues: His life has been all about blazing his own fame. He was a quick hearthrob and household name. IDOLS. The clues point to a singing show alum. Christmas tree. He’s still hungry for a new journey.
Performance Slow Hands by Niall Horan – All the clues so far point to maybe an American Idol alum? He is gallant, handing hands Nicole a sheath of fake marshmallows He’s very gentlemanly. Onstage Clue: “Starring S’more” He says, “I’m very talented on and off stage.” Nicole guesses Joey McIntyre. Jenny guesses Justin Guarini, Robin guesses Kevin Richardson.
Rubber Ducky
Clues: Horror movies and tv shows. He started out humble. He’s a household name. A photo of Leo DiCaprio is a clue, as is a golden turtle. “I’ll quack my way to the finale.”
Performance: Come on Eileen by Dexy Midnight Runners – He can carry a tune, but is the least talented singer so far. He’s probably an actor that can sing if it’s called for. On stage clue: “The Duckys.” His family is full of stars. Check out the headshot. Robin guesses David Arquette. Jenny guesses Wayans brothers. Ken guesses Anthony Anderson.
Cow
Clues: Cows like him don’t often make it out of their pen. July 4. He learned that he could act and write. It led to a number one and Grammy wins. He was meant to live his life in color. Lots of cooking clues.
Performance: Bones by Imagine Dragons – Cow is dressed as a heifer (woman). But pretty sure they are a man. Cow is a solid and soulful singer. Onstage clue: “Blockbuster Movie” It all started with a “moovie.” Jenny guesses Sean Stockman from Boyz II Men or Usher (LOL NO. He’s playing the Super Bowl in a few months).
