The Masked Singer 13 Group C: Who moves on to the next round on Boy Band Night?
The Masked Singer season 13 continues with Nick Cannon as host, Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong and Rita Ora on the panel.
It’s the Group C part 2, featuring a Boy Band theme. The four remaining celebrities perform in costume. Only two will advance to the Lucky Six round. Mad Scientist, Yorkie, Stud Muffin and Nessy take the stage. One celebrity will be unmasked by the end of the night.

Nick insists that Boy Bands began with the Jackson 5. Hm. First the remaining 4 singers take the stage. Nick is calling them MYSTERY SINGERS.
Nessy
Clues: He never thought he’d be singing a Boy Band song. His nemesis in the 90s were ‘Nsync. They met up at a celebrity golf game. He played horribly, but afterward they became friends.
Performance. Tearin’ Up My Heart by N-Sync – Dude kinda sounds like a Boy Band singer, which is funny, because he indicated he looked down his nose on boy banders back in the day. DUDE HAS NO FALSETTO. The clues this week will be delivered by “t shirt cannon” Chris from Nsync delivers the clue. He thinks Nessy is a country singer. A heart “Just like the Boy Banders I was also known for my love songs.” Rita guesses Dave Matthews. Jenny guesses Darius Rucker. Ken guesses Pat Monahan (Train).
Prediction: Many fans insist the Nessy is pop/rock singer Edwin McCain who had a smash hit with the song “I’ll Be.” A big guy, he calls himself a “gentle giant.” and he was popular around the same time as NSync so it makes sense they would be competitive as he described in his clue package. One clue is a radio microphone and a star. Edwin released a single called “Radio Star,” and another called “The Kiss” which matches a clue where he holds up an illustration of lips.
Stud Muffin
Clues: Yeah. Stud clears up that whole boy band start mentioning Motown groups and more. “Nothing can come between me and my team.”
Performance: Poison by Bell Biv Devoe – This performance is flat flatty flat every note. Not a singer. But a rapper who doesn’t sing. Omarion delivers the next clue. LOTS of Boy Banders have competed. Dash of Sugar, Sprinkle of Flour, Grammy of Gold. Stud says he’s performed with Omarion. So, probably a 90’s rapper. Jenny guesses MC Hammer. Ken guesses 2 Chainz. Rita guesses Method Man. Extra clue “He has shared the screen with Ken.”
Yorkie
Clues: Boy Band scandals. Yorkie was adored until she got into a scandal with someone she loved. She was dragged through the mud. But then the truth came out.
Performance: Step By Step by New Kids on the Block – Yorkie is an unremarkable singer. Clear tone, no vibrato or interesting phrasing. Yawn. Chris Kirkpatrick brings out the clue: Touring up my heart. “My life has been a comedy and a tragedy. I’ve been all around the world.” Ken guesses Theresa Giudice. Rita guesses Paris Hilton. Jenny guesses Erica Jayne.
Prediction: The internets believe Yorkie is Erika Jayne from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Erika started out as a singer and actress before joining RHBH. Her husband was a lawyer 30 years her senior who was accused and convicted of stealing from a charity. Yorkie alludes to scandal and swears she came out innocent in the end. But, according to Wiki, prosecutors couldn’t PROVE she was aware of her husband’s thieving, so she stayed out of trouble. She holds a peach tart in the clues package–Erika is originally from Atlanta Georgia.
Mad Scientist
Clues: He knows about chemistry. He met his gal in the fall. He eventually married her, but it took awhile.
Performance: I Swear by All-4-One – Mad sings in a familiar sounding twang. He’s unmistakably a country singer. He sounds a little like Blake Shelton (BUT NOT. A listers don’t do the Masked Singer). But he has that baritone thing going. Omarion is back with another clue. BTS and BSB “It’s an honor to have won the same award as Backstreet Boys and BTS.” Robin guesses Alan Jackson. Jenny guesses Tim McGraw. Rita guesses Keith Urban. HELL NO.
Prediction: The internets are convinced that Mad Scientist is Brian Kelley from Florida Georgia Line. One clue, a cruise ship, points the their massive hit “Cruise.” Also, Mad Scientist hints at being an athlete. Brian Kelley was scouted by Baseball teams, but ended up writing and playing music instead.
Who is going home?
The audience and and panel vote for their favorite singer. And the celebrity unmasked tonight is…Stud Muffin! One more clue! The “crack the case” Clue Case. “Stud Muffin District” He says, “They named a whole street after us, me and my crew.” Final guesses: Ken: 2 Chainz. Jenny: MC Hammer. Rita: Method Man Robin: Method Man. And Stud Muffin IS Method Man! He jokes that Wu Tang Clan his group, probably isn’t watching The Masked Singer.
