It’s the Group C FINALE, featuring a Decades Night theme. The three remaining celebrities perform in costume. Only two will advance to the Lucky Six round. Mad Scientist, Yorkie, and Nessy take the stage. One celebrity will be unmasked by the end of the night.

The Masked Singer 13 Preview: Meet the Masks, Themes and MORE

The remaining three celebrities sing songs from specific eras. The trio take the stage and sing “My Sharona” by The Knack from the dawn of the 80s. What a weird song choice. Cover the kiddos ears!

Yorkie

Clues: The 60s remind Yorkie of her mom. Sadly, her dad walked out on them. She used her pain as a cautionary tail A judges gavel. She had a mess with love.

Performance: Stop in the Name of Love by The Supremes. – BORING. Easily her worst performance of the competition. Her bland vocals need a peppier song to sing. A skilled vocalist would add some kind of appeal–warmth, sexiness, heartbreak. Yorkie might as well be singing a shopping list. Zzzzzz. Sixties inspired onstage clue: Show Dog. She says, “I’m a show dog. I’m part of one of the biggest TV shows out there.” Robin guesses Lori Loughlin. Ken guesses Kyle Richards. Jenny guesses Erika Jayne (The internets are on Jenny’s side).

Mad Scientist

Clues: He chose the 2010’s because they were lit and the best decade of his career. A sun. He wanted to choose his own path and experiment with new sounds. But his collaborators disagreed, so he went out on his own.. Sometimes chemistry changes. “Love yourself.” A truck.

Performance: Love Yourself by Justin Bieber – This week Mad Scientist countyfies Justin Bieber. His twangy baritone is so familiar. He finishes the song with a falsetto note that surprises the panel. Any country fans has already guessed this one. “Season 4” He says, “I performed with someone from Season 4.” Ken guesses Brad Paisley. Jenny guesses Blake Shelton, because Seahorse Tori Kelly was a mentor on The Voice. Rita guesses Billy Ray Cyrus

Prediction: The internets are convinced that Mad Scientist is Brian Kelley from Florida Georgia Line. One clue, a cruise ship, points the their massive hit “Cruise.” Also, Mad Scientist hints at being an athlete. Brian Kelley was scouted by Baseball teams, but ended up writing and playing music instead. He seemed to be talking about the bitter break up with his duo mate, Tyler Hubbard. Neither singer has been able to capture the fame they had as a duo in the 2010s, unfortunately. Hence, a trip to the Masked Singer.

Nessy

Clues: Nessy loves boomboxes. Growing up, Nessy love REO Speedwagon. He opened up for them. Valentine’s Day is his Super Bowl. Couples have incorporated his music into their weddings.

Performance: I Can’t Fight This Feeling by REO Speedwagon – Nessy isn’t exactly a power singer and this song, suited to a tenor voice with wide range, is out of his range. He’s barely got a vibrato. VOCAL STRAIN. His rendition was not very romantic. On Stage Clue “Bieber and Puth” “There just a couple of kids who covered my music and I got to score cool dad points.” Rita guesses Dave Matthews. Robin laughs at that and guesses Daryl Hall. Ken guesses Pat Monahan (Train).

Prediction: Many fans insist the Nessy is pop/rock singer Edwin McCain who had a smash hit with the song “I’ll Be.” A big guy, he calls himself a “gentle giant.” and he was popular around the same time as NSync so it makes sense they would be competitive as he described in his clue package. One clue is a radio microphone and a star. Edwin released a single called “Radio Star,” and another called “The Kiss” which matches a clue where he holds up an illustration of lips. Regarding this week’s clues: “I’ll Be” is a famous wedding song.

Bret Michaels brings a clue “I have rocked out with (Nessy) many times.”

First Vote. One celebrity is SAFE. Two compete in the Battle Royale

The panel and audience vote. The singers with the most votes will advance to the Lucky Six. The remaining two singers. Will compete in a Battle Royale.

The first singer to move on to the Lucky Six is….Mad Scientist! Predictable! He was the best singer tonight.

Nessy and Yorkie will perform the same song in their own style. The song is Hard to Handle by Black Crows and Otis Redding. Yorkie is very bad yelping her way through the song. Nessy should be able to nail a song in his own style. It’s a better song for him than that ill advised REO Speedwagon cover. The song fits comfortably into his baritone voice and allows him to throw in some rock growls. They panel will look LAME if they don’t advance him.

Who advanced to the Lucky Six?

First, Lucky Duck shows up to deliver another clue. He reminds the panel they’ve only guessed four out of eight so far. The Golden Ear trophy is back. It’s an award a judge wins for guessing the most celebrities. It’s been out of commission for a few seasons.

Now, the panel votes for who stays and who goes. The winner of the Battle Royale is…Nessy. The correct decision. Yorkie is eliminated. Now it’s time for the Crack the Case Clue Cale. “Black boots.” She says, “These lucky boots were custom made for me. Even the strip.” Final guesses Robin: Lori Loughlin. Rita guesses Paris Hilton. Ken guesses Kyle Richards. Jenny guesses Erika Jayne.

Who was unmasked?

And Yorkie is Erika Jayne of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. “They don’t let me be funny on the other show!” She performs in her “iconic” black boots. Rita saw Erika in Chicago on Broadway. Erika was a singer before she acted and did reality TV. Also, her husband was arrested for embezzling funds. While he was convicted, there wasn’t enough evidence to indict her. But for awhile, her reputation was crap.
