Jesse McCartney, who played the Turtle on The Masked Singer season 3 when he came in second, is returning to the show to perform this season. Jesse will duet with one of the finalists from Group A on the episode airing December 1.
Additionally, 80’s singer Michael Bolton will also appear with another Group A finalist. Entertainment Weekly hints that Michael’s duet partner knows him. “This isn’t the first time I’ve sang with Michael Bolton, but he doesn’t know that,” the masked contestant teased.
Judges panelists Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke will also be performing, but with contestants from Group A.
Also later in the season, Leslie Jordan will serve as a guest panelist in the sixth episode. Other guest panelists will include Joel McHale, will.i.am, and Cheryl Hines.
So far on Season 6, The Masked Singer has eliminated 5 contestants: Baby (Larry the Cable Guy), Dalmatian (Tyga), Pufferfish (Toni Braxton), Octopus (Dwight Howard) and Mother Nature (Vivica A. Fox). Additionally, only 13 of the 16 total contestants have performed for the first time on the show. Fans still haven’t met Wildcards Beachball, Caterpillar and Jester.
The big twist of the season, the Take It Off Buzzer, which allows a judge to immediately identify a celebrity if they are SURE they know their identity, has not been used yet. If the judge is correct, the celebrity is immediately eliminated. If not, the judge loses two points toward the Golden Ear trophy awarded to the panelist with the most correct guesses at the end of the season.
The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays on Fox at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
