The Masked Singer Season 3 is coming! The hit series premieres Sunday, Feb 2 immediately after the Super Bowl at 10:30 pm ET on FOX. The second episode premieres in its regular time slot, Wednesday Feb 5 at 8 pm ET/PT.

Judges Nicole Scherzinger, Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy and Ken Jeong are back on the judges panel. Nick Cannon will once again serve as host.

Guest judges for the season include Jason Biggs (Outmatched, Orange is the New Black, American Pie), and Leah Remini (King of Queens, Scientology and the Aftermath). Additionally, every judge’s FAVORITE GUESS, Jamie Foxx (Ray, Dreamgirls, Beat Shazam) will guest host on the season premiere.

FOX will announce more celebrity judges at a later date.

Masked Singer Season 3 Will Feature Even More Contestants

As far as format changes, there will be even MORE masks. Season 1 featured 12 celebrities while season 2 had 16. Now, season 3 will have 18 celebrities competing for the Golden Mask.

Here is how it will work: The contestants will be split into three groups of six: Group A, B, and C.  The six singers of Group A will be whittled down to 3 singers over the course of the first three episodes. Then Group B will be featured in the following three episodes, followed by Group C.  The Top 9 contestants that remain will then battle it out for the rest of the season for the win. One celebrity will be unmasked at the end of each episode.

Producers Vow to Make Masking Singer Season 3 Clues Harder

Intrepid fans tend to figure out the identity of the mystery masks fairly quickly! Viewers comb through Twitter, Wikipedia and Google. They read through Youtube and forum contents. There was even a sound engineer that un-modulated the voices and posted them to Youtube. Now, The Masked Singer producers vow to make the clues harder. I’m not sure it will make a difference. There is no detetive like an internet detective!

Additionally, video packages will also feature a contestant’s family and friends talking about the singer while in disguise. Hm. I’m not sure that’s going to make figuring out identities harder

Meet the Masked Singer Season 3 Characters

Check out costume portraits below including pics of Miss Monster, Llama, Frog, Banana and Robot.

A recent promo featuring host Nick Cannon, offers a few clues to who may be behind the masks. First, Nick heads to Beverly Hills, where he enters the gates to a mansion. He’s greeted by a fluffy little dog wearing a pink feather boa. The owner is also wearing pink–and a pair of tan Ugg boots. The costume is a giant MOUSE (or rat? Ew) wearing a white dress and colorful flowers. Next, Nick pulls up to a farmhouse. The owner wears jeans, a silver buckle and a cowboy hat. The costume is the Robot. It looks like something out of Lost in Space! And last but not least, Nick stops off at what looks like a backstage dressing room of a television show. The costume is the banana.

Three of the six contestants featured on The Masked Singer post-Super Bowl premiere will be Miss Monster, Llama and Banana.  See photos from the episode below.
