AHHHH! Tonight is the scariest episode of The Voice season. It’s what’s come to be known as The Voice semifinal BLOODBATH. FOUR contestants will be sent home tonight in one giant wack. The remaining four singers will move on to next week’s finale.
Here’s how the results will go down: THREE singers will advance automatically to the final four TWO singers will be eliminated. The 4th, 5th and 6th place finishers will sing off for the fourth spot in the finals. Viewers vote on Twitter to instantly save one singer.
As The Voice fans know by now, there is typically a surprise on semifinal bloodbath night. I’ll do my best to make a prediction, but have no expectation of being 100% correct (as if I’ve been 100% ever this season. Sigh.)
Check out last night’s The Voice polls and recap.
iTunes Chart Update as of 12:00 pm EST:
Billy Gilman eventually hopscotched Sundance Head to take the Top spot on iTunes last night. Josh Gallagher has made his FIRST appearance in the Top 10 at #3. Brendan Fletcher and Wé McDonald JUST missed the Top 10. Ali Caldwell barely made the Top 15, which I do not understand. As far as I’m concerned, she had the vocal of the night. Aaron sits far from his fellow contestants–who all made the Top 15–at #42.
1. Billy Gilman – Team Adam – I Surrender
2. Sundance Head – Team Blake – Love Can Build a Bridge

Favorite Top 8 Performance
Ali Caldwell and Billy Gilman dominate the Favorites poll, with Sundance Head close behind. By the way, Wé McDonald was my second fav performance behind Ali’s. Personally, I thought the gals ruled last night, but there’s a possibility we’ll have a female free final four.

Who WILL be Eliminated?
I’m going to agree with this list. Although, Josh Gallagher could serve as a spoiler tonight. He hasn’t placed high on iTunes all season, but that doesn’t necessarily correlate to how viewers are voting in other methods.

Grade the Episode
Last night’s performance episode earned a B- grade. Eep.
- B 49.21%
- C 20.63%
- A 19.05%
- F 6.8%
- D 4.31%
Prediction: The final four will be Billy Gilman, Sundance Head (for sure–one of them will eventually win) Christian Cuevas. Wé McDonald, Ali Caldwell, and either Josh Gallagher or Brendan Fletcher will sing for the 4th spot. It will definitely be the end of the road for Aaron Gibson. The sing off COULD send one of the boys to make an all male final four. I really think it could happen. (I hope not).
