The fun of this video from Extra? Watching the two American Idol alums remain vague about exactly WHICH singing show kicked off their careers. Because, of course, American Idol is a major rival airing on a competitor’s network. Oops.
Second reason why this clip is worth a look–we get our first preview of one of season 15’s contestants! She impresses Jennifer and Kelly and fellow coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine with a rendition of Adele’s “Turning Tables.”
Here’s another Jennifer/Kelly centric preview where they talk unnamed TV show participation that you may not have seen yet. Jennifer says she watched Kelly win unnamed TV show and that she’s her inspiration. The American Idol season 3 alum goes on to note that Kelly won her season, she didn’t, illustrating both side of the coin. You can win, and even if you don’t, it’s still possible to be successful.
