In the first part of Monday’s show, coaches Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Gwen Stefani will finalize their 12 member teams. Each coach has ONE remaining spot to fill. Spoiler Alert! The Voice Season 17 Contestant List Spoilers: Blinds, Battles, Knockouts
In the second part of the episode, the Battle Rounds begin with the help of celebrity mentors. Former Fifth Harmony member and X Factor USA alum Normani will help Team Kelly. Country and pop singer Darius Rucker lends a hand to Team Blake. R&B singer and former The Voice coach Usher assists Team Legend. And Black Eyed Peas member, producer and The Voice UK coach will.i.am joins Team Gwen. Mentors will help the coaches to prepare their artists for a competitive duet.
After the vocal face-off, each coach must choose which artist from their team is the strongest to move forward to the Knockout Rounds. Here’s a twist: Instead of TWO steals like previous seasons of The Voice, each coach has one save and one steal available during the Battles. Reportedly, there will be NO SAVES during the Knockout Rounds. The coaches may be using wildcards to round out their Playoffs teams.
