Monday night poll results: OH NO. I left off an important contestant off of Monday night’s favorites poll. Here’s a do over:

Auditions Episode 1 CORRECTED Poll (Vote Again)

The Voice Auditions 1 Poll RESULTS

  • Voters graded the episode only a B-. I would have given it a solid B or B+ myself.
  • Coach rankings: Blake 37%, Kelly 32%, Nick 27%. And absolutely no love for John at 6%!
  • 78% of voters give new coach Nick Jonas a thumbs up, while only 8% say nay. 20% are neutral.

After two episodes, I’m not super-excited about the talent on The Voice this season. My favorites so far are Joanna Serenko from the premiere. She’s young, but has something special. From night two, I liked Chelle’s distinctive tone. Toneisha Harris is also a talented singer. To be honest, I’m a lot more hype about the talent so far on that other show on another night.

As far as Nick Jonas is concerned. He should throw away that stupid notepad! Other than that, he’s pretty much what I expected. He’s a seriously experienced artist. When he appeared on Songland with his siblings, Nick was clearly the creative of the three. He understands struggling artists and has a clear idea on what they need–which is half the battle! So far so good. We’ll see how good he is at the actual mentoring part of his job.
