The Voice 22 BRUTAL Knockouts are over. I understand that The Voice versions in other countries use the 3-way format. But I prefer singers to go head to head, and for more singers to get an opportunity to perform in the live shows. There were some tough cuts in this round to be sure. And a few head scratching decisions from the coaches.
Next week, the Top 16 will become a Top 13
But here we are finally heading off into the live shows next week. According to the NBC press release, The Top 16 will perform for America’s vote on Monday November 14. On Tuesday November 13, two artists from each team will be revealed safe by America’s votes. Each coach will select one more artist to move forward. The remaining four artists, one from each team, will compete in the Wildcard Instant Save. One artist from the save moves on to the Top 13.
Basically, it’s the Playoffs format, but NBC isn’t calling it that in their press release. The episodes are titled “Live Top 16.” Could there be any weird twists in the lives? With so few contestants, I’m guessing no. But we’ll see!
Reminder: November 8 is election day in America, and NBC is pre-empting regular programming for live coverage.
