Every season, The Voice debuts colorful key art that attempts to capture the spirit of the new season. Or at the very least sound clever and enticing! Season 22 art is colored candy-apple red and features the tagline “Go for Bold” which is probably supposed to be something like “Go for Gold.”
The look is a bit tropical, which may be a nod to newbie coach, Camila Cabello. The former Fifth Harmony member and X Factor USA alum was born in Cuba.

Blake Shelton, the only OG member of the panel will be joined by his wife, Gwen Stefani, who is an on again, off again coach. John Legend returns. Carson Daly, another OG returns as host.

Maybe GO BOLD means GO BIGGER
NBC hasn’t announced it yet, but instead of a Top 48, the Blind Auditions will end with a Top 56. It’s super-sized! One big drawback, more artists will be montaged. Sad! Spoilers are here. For a guide on the Top 56, check out Blake Busch’s massive write up with photos, links and videos:

The Battle Rounds will proceed as usual. Each coach will work with a celebrity advisor who will help them get their teams ready. Coaches will pair up the 14 members of their team for duets, with the respective coach choosing which of the pair moves on to the Knockouts. However, a coach can save one artist. Coaches can also steal an eliminated artist from another team. The round will feature 28 battles and will end with a Top 36.
The coach advisors are: Blake Shelton: Jimmie Allen, Gwen Stefani: Sean Paul, John Legend: Jazmine Sullivan, Camila Cabello: Charlie Puth.
The Knockouts feature a huge format change
Thirty-six contestants divided by four leaves 9 contestants on each team. How will the Knockouts proceed? With TRIOS instead of DUOS. Coaches will pit three team members against each other. Each will perform a solo of a song they choose. The coach will choose only ONE to move on to the next round.
For the past several season, a celebrity mega-mentor worked with the coaches to prepare the artist. This season will be MEGA MENTOR FREE.
Each coach can steal one eliminated contestant. The Knockout round round begins with nine knockouts, ending with a Top 16.

The Voice season 22 premieres on NBC Monday September 19 and Tuesday September 20.
