Favorite Top 9 Solo Performance

Asher HaVon tops the list AGAIN! And he’s popular on Facebook as well. Notably, John Legend WHO IS NOT HIS COACH called Asher the best vocalist left in the competition. Sorry Nathan Chester and Bryan Olesen!. Hoo boy.

Often the results of favorites polls show a clear favorite. But not here. Asher is at the top, but only a few percentage points separate EVERY contestant!. Hardly a gap at all–5 percent between Karen and Josh is the largest. That’s really unusual!

  1. Asher HaVon – Team Reba – Irreplaceable – 19.19%
  2. Nathan Chester – Team Legend – Try a Little Tenderness – 17.17%
  3. Karen Waldrup – Team Dan + Shay – Stay – 16.16%
  4. Josh Sanders – Team Reba – White Horse – 11.11%
  5. Maddi Jane – Team Chance – Greedy – 10.61%
  6. Madison Curbelo – Team Dan + Shay – Time After Time – 10.10%
  7. Bryan Olesen – Team Legend – Against All Odds – 7.07%
  8. Serenity Arce – Team Chance – We Can’t Be Friends – 4.55%
  9. Tae Lewis – Team Dan + Shay – Amazed – 4.04%

Y’all liked the dancing bear song. Actually, the performance was fine. Too bad the weird dancing bear was so distracting

  2. Josh Sanders, Karen Waldrup, Tae Lewis – Forever Young – 24.41%
  3. Bryan Olesen, Maddi Jane, Nathan Chester – Just Like Heaven – 18.90%

Which 4 Contestants SHOULD go home

Bryan Olesen - The Voice Top 9 Semifinal

Votes sare Bryan Olesen SHOULD go home, but arguably, that’s not going to happen. He’s a guy who came into the competition with people, and his rock genre usually does well on singing shows.

  1. Bryan Olesen – Team Legend – 21.49%
  2. Serenity Arce – Team Chance – 18.27%
  3. Tae Lewis – Team Dan + Shay – 17.67%
  4. Maddi Jane – Team Chance – 13.65%
  5. Josh Sanders – Team Reba – 7.63%
  6. Nathan Chester – Team Legend – 6.63%
  7. Karen Waldrup – Team Dan + Shay – 5.22%
  8. Madison Curbelo – Team Dan + Shay – 5.22%
  9. Asher HaVon – Team Reba – 4.22%

Which 4 Contestants WILL go home

Tae Lewis - The Voice 25 Top 9 Semifinal

Does the pimp spot even mean anything any more? Tae had to be saved last week, so he’s probably in danger of going home, despite performing last. There were better performances that came before him. You predict that Madison Curbelo, Nathan Chester, Karen Waldrup, Jash Sanders and Asher HaVon will advice. Tae Lewis, Bryan Olesen, Serenity Arce and Maddi Jane are heading, home, you say.

  1. Tae Lewis – Team Dan + Shay – 19.60%
  2. Bryan Olesen – Team Legend – 18.78%
  3. Serenity Arce – Team Chance – 8.12%
  4. Maddi Jane – Team Chance – 14.50%
  5. Madison Curbelo – Team Dan + Shay – 10.05%
  6. Nathan Chester – Team Legend – 5.77%
  7. Karen Waldrup – Team Dan + Shay – 4.94%
  8. Josh Sanders – Team Reba – 4.12%

The Voice 25 Top 9 Facebook Stats

Maddi Jane - The Voice 25 Top 9 Semifinal
Pictured: Maddi Jane — (Photo by: Trae Patton/NBC)

Maddi Jane garnered the least amount of Facebook plays for her performance last night. I’m not surprised. She’s in a tough spot, singing in a genre that’s not typically popular on singing shows (Rhythmic pop). It didn’t help that it wasn’t her best performance.

  1. Karen Waldrup – Team Dan + Shay – Stay – 322.2K plays 7.1K likes
  2. Asher HaVon – Team Reba – Irreplaceable – 277.3K plays 5.9K likes
  3. Josh Sanders – Team Reba – White Horse – 245.8K plays 6.6K likes
  4. Bryan Olesen – Team Legend – Against All Odds – 228.8K plays 4.3K likes
  5. Tae Lewis – Team Dan + Shay – Amazed – 175.8K plays 4.4K likes
  6. Serenity Arce – Team Chance – We Can’t Be Friends – 173K plays 2.2K likes
  7. Nathan Chester – Team Legend – Try a Little Tenderness – 125K plays 3.7K likes
  8. Madison Curbelo – Team Dan + Shay – Time After Time – 115K plays 2.1K likes
  9. Maddi Jane – Team Chance – Greedy – 101.3K plays 1.5K likes

Predictions

I had a 50% track record last week. Let’s see if I can do better. Ahem. Karen Waldrup, Asher HaVon, Josh Sanders and Bryan Olesen will advance via America’s Vote. Madison Curbelo will nab the last spot after winning the Instant Save.

Maddi Jane, Nathan Chester, Serenity Arce and Tae Lewis will exit the competition.
