The Voice 26 Battle: A distraught Snoop Dogg must choose between two standout singers
The Voice 26 cuts back to one hour 9 pm shows on Tuesday beginning October 29 and here is DREION and Georgia Starnes Battle for a spot on Team Snoop Dogg. The two perform Stacy Lattisaw and Johnny Gill’s “Perfect Combination.”
DREION, a soul stylist and pop singer Stacey were both 4-chair turns during their Blind Audition performances and do not disappoint as they deliver a powerhouse duet.
Reba McEntire noted that the pair looked like they were having a “wonderful time” and they agreed. She complimented Georgia’s look in addition to her range. “You guys are so well matched,” Reba said, adding “I don’t have one way or the other to go.”
“I don’t know what to do,” said Gwen Stefani, “Because you have so many strengths,” she said to Georgia. “You do runs. You have a cool, deep voice. I think you have a really amazing gift.” And to DREION she said, “You are literally one of the greatest singers I’ve ever heard.” She added. “Your voice is just so natural and beautiful.” She would go with him as the winner of the Battle, although she felt Georgia had the best overall package.
Michael Buble said to Georgia, “You have a really great voice, girlfriend…you prove that soul has nothing to do with the color of your skin,” to which Snoop agreed. “You are a soulful, beautiful singer. You feel it. You have rich tone, rich notes.” He said to DREION, “I just want to be like you. You have the most incredible voice. You are smooth as silk my friend.” Then Michael compliments Snoop’s coaching abilities. “He does it all well.” He added about the artists, “There is no loser here. Both of you are incredible.”
“I feel like they both could win The Voice,” said Snoop Dogg
Coach Snoop loved the fact that his team members “took the notes and…really put them to use.” He mentioned how hard it would be to pick the winner of the Battle. “I didn’t think it was going to be this hard,” he said, afraid to pick “the wrong one.” He believes that both artists could win The Voice. “I feel like they both are superstars in their own right.” Snoop was torn. “I just don’t want to break nobody’s heart,” he said. “I just want to make sure that everybody understands that this opportunity, this exposure, this millions of people that’s watching you, whatever happens after this is not based on today, but what you do based off of today.”
Which artist will a distraught Snoop Dogg choose as the winner? And will another coach steal the loser? Tune into The Voice on Tuesday, October 29 at 9 pm ET/PT to find out!
