The Voice 27 Blind Audition Preview: Alanna Lynise misses a 4 chair turn because a coach filled up their team!

The Voice 27 Blind Auditions conclude on Monday (March 3) at which point all four teams will be filled! Check out a preview of Alanna Lynise performing “Issues” by Julia Michaels. Her song gets three coaches to turn their chairs. Find out why Alanna’s auditions SHOULD have gotten 4 chairs.

Michael Bublé and Adam Levine turned quickly for Alanna’s fluttery yet powerful performance of the song. Just before she finished, Kelsea Ballerini hit her button. John Legend appeared to be into it–even shouting “beautiful” at one point. But he did not turn, because HIS TEAM WAS FILLED. For sure if Alanna had stepped on stage even a day earlier, she would have garnered 4 chairs.

John assured the 21 year old from Toledo, Ohio that if he could have turned, it would have happened within the first 15 seconds of her performance. “I loved your intonation, and the confidence and the poise you showed.”

It’s a fierce fight between Adam, Michael and Kelsea as they woo Alanna on to their teams

Adam loved that she chose to sing “Issues” due to its complicated nature. “I thought it was so cool,” he said, adding, “You have that distinct quality that makes a voice memorable, and that’s all I care about. You’re one of my favorites in this competition.”

Kelsea had one spot left on her team, and she hoped that Alanna would fill it. “Normally I turn first when I hear a voice like yours,” she said, “Adam always turns last and he usually gets the best people. I’m just using reverse psychology to see if it works in my favor!” She ends her pitch, “Girls stick together, please be on my team!”

Michael called his fellow coaches’ pitches “consistent,” snarking that Adam has used the “your my favorite” line about six different times (he’s got a point!). He noted that Kelsea and Adam talked about what she could do for their team, but Michael asked, “What can I do for you?” Kelsea and Adam looked a tad bit defeated here. “I want to be with you every step of the way, so we can cheer and say, ‘look what we did together. We won The Voice.’.”

“They have all won Grammys,” Kelsea said referring to Adam and Michael. “I’m still in the stage of my career where I’m closer to being a new artist. They’re so far beyond me.” It’s somewhat convoluted, but Kelsea pitched her relative inexperience as a positive for Alanna due to her of her relatability.

Who will Alanna pick as her coach? Tune into The Voice on Monday, March 3 on NBC at 8 pm ET/PT to find out. The show also streams on Peacock beginning the next day.
