The Voice Season 18 First Look: New Coach, New Artists! (VIDEO)

In anticipation of The Voice season 18 premiere next week, check out a new first look promo from NBC, in addition to official coach photos.The clip introduces fans to new coach, Nick Jonas. “I’m having fun on set, and I think people are going to have fun watching at home,” he says. Kelly Clarkson shares her thoughts on her fellow coach, “He brings a whole new life to the show.” John Legend adds, “We were trying to show him the ropes without letting him defeat us.” Nick “has this aura about him” says Blake Shelton.

Kelly reminds fans that she won last season with one button country artist Jake Hoot. “I’m the current reigning champ!” Slipping into PR speak, she declares, “This season overall has the most talent I’ve ever seen.” John is looking for special talent, “The voices that I find special are ones that give me chills.” Blake adds, “It just blows me away that these artists are undiscovered and thank God they give us the chance here.” Nick shares, “It is our job as coaches to see the potential in somebody and help them get to that next level.”

The clip also features a first look at a few artists. Newbie coach, Nick does that thing where a coach joins an artist on stage with his guitar. It’s a right of passage! He accompanies the hopeful on a performance of Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect.”

But the best part? PUPPY!

The Voice season 18 two night premiere lands Monday February 24 and Tuesday February 25
