It took a minute or two or longer. But, The Voice season 14 winner Brynn Cartelli has finally released a new single, the bass heavy pop tune “Long Way Home,” written by Brynn and Nathan Chapman. The tune is available to download and stream now. “Long Way Home” is Brynn’s first new song since 2019’s “Grow Young.” The singer released “Last Night’s Mascara” in the fall of 2018.
“can’t stop smiling, this is just the beginning. thank you for your patience + love …,” Brynn wrote on social media. “now lets have the ENTIRE WORLD bopping to lwh IK WE CAN DO IT love you all so much”
At only 15 years old, the singer auditioned for The Voice back in the spring of 2018, earning a spot on Team Kelly Clarkson. Her Blind Audition performance of Labrinth’s “Beneath Your Beautiful” earned a turn from both Kelly and Blake Shelton (Watch Here). However, lucky Kelly won Brynn over and the two rode the season to victory.
After extracting herself from the Republic Records contract that comes with winning the show, Brynn signed a record deal with Kelly’s label, Atlantic Records. More specifically, Brynn is releasing music on the label’s Elektra imprint. She also signed a management deal with Kelly’s now estranged husband, Brandon Blackstock. But it’s probably safe to assume that she’s moved on!
