Only 15 years old when she competed on The Voice season 5 in 2013, Jacquie Lee still managed to make it to the number two spot behind Tessanne Chin. Afterward, the Team Christina Aguilera member and New Jersey native signed a record deal with Atlantic and released her first single, “Broken Ones” in 2014.
Three years later, Jacquie is working on new music which includes the release of a brand new music video “Am I the Only One.” In a recent interview, she shared with Paper Magazine the inspiration for the video, which features the singer trapped in a fun-house world.
“This video visualizes the beginning of my journey for this EP,” Jacquie said of “Am I the Only One.” “It captures the frame of mind I was in moving from New Jersey to LA…I was very lost and anxious and time just felt like it was moving faster and faster. I’m not the best at dealing with change and I felt like I had no idea what the f*ck I was doing. I was just rolling with it.”
