The Voice season 17 winner, Jake Hoot continues to forge his own path in country music with the release of new single, “Night Left.” Written by Jake, Danny Myrick (Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw) and Kylie Sackley (Sam Hunt, Randy Houser) and produced by Myrick, the upbeat track features rousing electric guitars and Hoot’s signature vocals. It’s available to download and on all streaming platforms.
“It’s a song that once it’s in your head, there’s no getting it out,” Jake told American Songwriter where the song premiered. “I loved writing this song with Danny and Kylie, and it’s become my favorite one to perform. Even my six-year-old loves to sing it. Can’t wait for this to hit this summer.”
Jake headed to his fifth Opry appearance
Jake will be celebrating the release of “Night Left” with his fifth Grand Ole Opry performance tonight (July 23). The country singer will hit the road this weekend to open for Darius Rucker and ALABAMA. The vocal powerhouse will also be taking over Country Now’s Instagram stories all day today and guest hosting the WSM Playlist tonight at 6/5c on WSM radio.
The release of “Night Left” follows Jake’s debut EP release earlier this year, Love Out Of Time. Featuring “I Would’ve Loved You,” a duet with former The Voice coach turned mentee Kelly Clarkson, Love Out Of Time hit No. 2 on iTunes all-genre albums as well as the country-specific chart upon its release. The duo performed the power ballad on The Voice season 19 semi-finals, The Kelly Clarkson Show and appeared on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna. To date, “I Would’ve Loved You” has amassed more than 8 million music video views, and more than 3 million organic streams.
Jake has not slowed down since his win. Currently boasting more than 8 million streams, 90K downloads, 200K + social followers and more than 5 million YouTube views, Jake is currently on a nationwide tour across the United States.
