On her afternoon talk show earlier this week, Kelly Clarkson introduced a performance from Keb’ Mo’. The blues artist has an album coming out this week, Good to Be… But oddly, Kelly doesn’t namecheck his background singer who joins him on his performance of “Good To Be (Home Again).”
It’s none other than The Voice runner-up Wendy Moten. She’s not wearing a sling, which indicates that the clip was taped weeks ago. Wendy broke several bones when she slipped and fell on The Voice stage in late November. Right after The Voice finished, she underwent surgery on her shattered elbow and she is currently wearing a sling on her arm.
Check out the performance below. Keb’ Mo’ wrote his album in part while renovating his childhood home in Compton, California.
