Season 9 finalist, Emily West, returned to America’s Got Talent Wednesday to perform “Nights in White Satin” with Season 7 finalist William Close. You may remember William as the musician who built incredible sounding instruments from the ground. up. Emily had success on the country charts before she was dropped from a major label deal. After finishing second in the competition last season, the singer has reinvented herself as a satiny-voiced chanteuse, expanding her sound beyond a single genre.
“Night’s in White Satin,” originally released by The Moody Blues in 1967, is a cut from Emily’s new album of covers and original tunes, All For You. Released last week on Sony Masterworks, Emily co-wrote four songs on the eclectic record, including “Bitter,” (Julian Emery, Emily West, Jodi Marr) “Gloriana” (Kevin Scott Rhoads, Emily West) “Battles,” (Kevin Scott Rhoads, Emily West) and “Fallen” (Kevin Scott Rhoads, Emily West). On “True Colors” Emily duets with Cyndi Lauper. Check out the tracklist below,
