Check out the video premiere for country superstar and Season 4 American Idol champ Carrie Underwood’s new single, “Little Toy Guns”! The song, written by Carrie with longtime collaborator Chris DeStefano and even longer time collaborator Hillary Lindsey (and featuring Hillary Lindsey on background and response vocals), is about the traumatic impact of parental discord on a young daughter, as she finds herself wishing that words didn’t inflict such pain.
In the P.R. Brown-directed video, a little girl played by Grace Rundhaug (Marta von Trapp in NBC’s smash hit The Sound Of Music-Live!, which also starred Carrie as Maria) hears her parents fighting over her father’s absenteeism, and transports herself into a fantasy world where she is a warrior princess who rescues her father (who’s been trapped & tied up in that world) and brings her parents back together.
