US weekly reports that Miranda Lambert is back on The Voice for season 6. But instead of mentoring her husband, Blake Shelton’s, team, she’ll be lending a hand to Team Shakira.
Miranda Lambert is ditching Blake Shelton for Shakira — on The Voice, that is. As revealed in the Dec. 2 issue of Us Weekly, the country songstress, 30, recently served as a mentor for the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer’s season six contestants, who will be competing against Shelton’s team members next spring. (Season five of the NBC show is airing now.)
“Shakira and Miranda got along well,” a source tells Us of the superstars. “Blake joked that Miranda was helping another coach. But it was in good fun.”
The Voice season 6 will air in the winter/spring 2014 with Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Shakira and Usher on the coaches panel. The series is in the midst of filming now.
