Carrie Underwood began her fourth season as the voice of NBC’s Sunday Night Football on Sunday September 11.
“Oh, Sunday Night” is set to the music of “Somethin’ Bad,” a duet from Carrie and Miranda Lambert which was released in 2014. Carrie worked with the songwriters of “Somethin’ Bad”– Chris DeStefano, Brett James, and Priscilla Renea – to rewrite the lyrics for Sunday Night Football. The result, “Oh, Sunday Night,” was produced by Mark Bright and Chris DeStefano.
The opening was teased during the Rio Olympics, and a preview of the audio was released a few weeks ago. Finally, the full opening aired before the first SNF game of the season between the Arizona Cardinals and the New England Patriots. Twelve NFL players are featured in the video.
