Congratulations to American Idol alum Jax who just crossed the 10 million threshold on Tik Tok! To celebrate, the season 14 2nd runner up uploaded a post tooth-extraction video. She hears the fantastic news and immediately….becomes very confused. “Am I in your dream, or are you in my dream,” she asks her boyfriend. He assures her that she’s very much awake.

“Do they know I write songs?” she asks groggily. She begins crying, and her boyfriend reminds her that it’s “a good thing.” She cries, “It’s so nice,” and adds, after asking if her parents know (they do!), “Am I famous?” Boyfriend laughs, “Yeah, you’re kind of famous!”
But then, she becomes very upset when she realizes that she’s not as famous as social media queen Selena Gomez. “She doesn’t like me!” Now Jax is really upset. “She would love you…I’m sure you’ll meet her,” boyfriend assures her. Then the two decide to go off and get Mexican pizza from Taco Bell. That’s gonna hurt.

Jax empowers with body positive “Victoria’s Secret”
Last month, Jax released her latest single, “Victoria’s Secret,” co-penned and produced by Grammy-winning producer Mark Nilan Jr. (Lady Gaga, Zedd), and Dan Henig. The body positive track went instantly viral on Tik Tok with over 25 million views. She debuted the song live at the Governors Ball Music Festival in New York.
“The kid I babysit told me a story about how one of her friends called her “too flat and too fat” in a VS bathing suit she tried on and it got me HEATED,” Jax said in a press statement. “So I went into the studio with my two friends and we recorded a song called ‘Victoria’s Secret.’”
The song is personal for the singer. On social media she shared a photo of herself taken while she was constantly working out and denying herself food. “These are real photos of me on the right…from 2014 when I thought I was in the best shape of my life. they were difficult to post but I felt it was necessary.”

Jax began her Tik Tok journey during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic
When the Covid-19 pandemic struck in 2020, Jax turned to Tik Tok posting a humorous response to the pop gem “Stacy’s Mom” from “Stacy’s Mom’s Perspective” which exploded with nearly 9 million views in just a few months and follow-ups including “Update from Avril Lavigne & Sk8er Boi 18 years later.”
Before “Victoria’s Secret” came the singer’s heartwarming ballad “Like My Father” which has amassed over 140 million streams. Meanwhile, her nostalgia-fueled anthem “90s Kids” received over 1 million weekly streams for 21 consecutive weeks, which came after her label-debut single, the whimsical “Ring Pop.”
On American Idol in 2015, emotional piano-driven covers like “Bang Bang (My Baby Shot me Down) by Cher, and the Beatles “I Want to Hold Your Hand” made her a fan favorite.
