Coronation Single Watch:
Scotty McCreery’s “I Love You This Big” has arrived on the Mediabase Country Top 50. The song has reached 48th with 287 monitored spins and an AI of 2.912. It had a total of 373 spins (AI 3.186) across 109 stations since being released to radio. It is the number one song on the Taking off Chart with 11 Starters spinning the song a total of 125 times. It continues at number one on iTunes.
Lauren Alaina’s “Like My Mother Does” has received 115 spins across 56 stations. It is number 5 on the Taking off chart with its 3 Starters playing it 28 times. The song is number 5 on iTunes.
A lot of spins for these songs will be courtesy spins (play it once just to acknowledge the two of them), so the next week will be telling if they both stick. So far, they are both off to a pretty impressive start for a coronation single (remember what we all thought of them on Tuesday night?). A first single is always exciting so we’ll probably watch them until for a week. Watching airplay of new first singles was the genesis of all these numbers threads.
Back to our regularly scheduled Weekend Countdowns:
Every weekend, there are countless countdown shows. VH1’s top 20 videos. Ryan’s American Top 40. Rick Dee’s Weekly Top 40 and many more. If you find an Idol on one of these shows, please post it here!
This is the general numbers thread for the weekend. So, if you find some cool numbers, this is the thread for posting them.
