OK OK. I was TOTALLY WRONG about Justin Guarini being Baby Alien on The Masked Singer last season. But I have total faith in my latest American Idol related prediction…
The Masked Dancer’s Exotic Bird is American Idol season 6 winner Jordin Sparks. The clues from Sunday’s premiere totally match up! And another thing. FOX loves to cast contestants across several reality shows. Jordin sat on the panel of I Can See Your Voice recently, and even sang with a tragically bad contestant.
THE CLUES!
- In the first shot of Exotic bird’s clue package, runners wearing the number “17” flank her on either side. Jordin won American Idol at 17.
- Exotic Bird talks about starting as a teen where she “won big” (winning Idol). She holds up a perfume bottle–Jordin had her own perfume line.
- Then, Exotic Bird shares that that it wasn’t easy after that. She felt attacked a lot for losing (RCA dropped Jordin after delaying her sophomore album for years), and her relationships (her high profile relationship with Jason Derulo ended badly). And trolls also teased her for being a “big bird” (Jordan struggled with her weight).
- Next, we see Exotic Bird baking. Fans know that Jordin LOVES to bake, and has appeared on baking shows and starred in her own baking YouTube series.
- Check out the “Best by 07” on the egg carton! Jordin competed on American Idol in 2007.
- The “narrator” calls Exotic Bird a “true warrior.” Where do warriors fight? On the BATTLEFIELD of course (the name of Jordin’s 2009 hit).
Exotic Bird’s Word Up is “Scored”
Each The Masked Dancer contestant utters ONE WORD to the judges panel using their natural voice. Exotic Bird’s word is “Scored.” First–Exotic Bird’s natural speaking voice sounds JUST LIKE Jordin’s. Also, the word is probably related to Jordin’s NFL dad who suited up for the New York Giants in the 90s.
Former American Idol judge Paula Abdul is a judge on the panel. Her guess for Exotic Bird’s identity is season 3 alum Jennifer Hudson. That’s actually a TERRIBLE guess. But I wonder if Paula KNOWS the identity of Exotic Bird and isn’t ready to say yet?
Watch Exotic Bird’s performance of “Coma Calma” by Daddy Yankee featuring Katy Perry. Hm. Apparently EVERYTHING can be a clue, including song choices. Could “Katy Perry” as current American Idol judge also be a clue? Also, check out Exotic Bird’s “Word Up” after her performance.
