Watch Junior Hip hop dancers Bailey & Kida perform to “Isis” by Joyner Lucas during next week’s (July 28) World of Dance Duels. They perform for judges Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough, Ne-Yo and guest judge tWitch for an opportunity to move on to the next round. The duo are pitted against brothers James & Harris (and they let them know it!).
After the hard-edged performance, Derek compliments the duo: “That was sick, hot out of the gate. Just the isolations, just every movement, just so intentional and executed to perfection.” He adds, “The small nuances were so powerful.”
“Each part of your body had its own brain, which is ridiculous!” says Ne-Yo. “It’s almost like you’re not human beings!” He adds, “I thoroughly enjoyed that entire piece.”
Did Jennifer like the routine? SHE GOT THE GOOSIES. “That was such a step up from what you guys showed us the first time,” she says. “I see the potential of what you guys can do routine-wise.”
“The nuances–it’s like y’all are architects of sound,” says tWitch, “We could see what the music looked like by how clearly your bodies were moving.” However, tWitch wants to see “the edge of your envelope” if they make it into the next round.
