The World of Dance duels continue on Tuesday. Watch Junior Division group grvmnt dance to Godzilla by Eminem.
After the group delivered a hard hitting performance, judge Derek Hough gushed, “You guys came in here ready to play!” He added, “The intricacy, the movement…the musicality, the way you guys were popping up.” However, Derek felt the group lost “a little bit of stamina” towards the end of the routine. “You have to end as strong as you start,” he said.
Jennifer Lopez observed, “That might be the record for the most moves in a 1 1/2 minute routine.” And contrary to Derek, she felt the young group delivered an “excellent performance” noting that when a group goes that hard, dying out a little at the end is inevitable. She suggested they make an adjustment to their choreography.
“That’s the thing,” said Ne-Yo, “At the end, we started seeing the effort a little bit.” But other than that, Ne-Yo called the routine “quality.” Guest judge tWitch added, “You got to make it look like it’s nothing, that this is what you do in your sleep.”
