Alex & Sierra have released another song from their upcoming album, As Seen on TV. The X Factor season 3 winners have put together a record that’s a mix of fans favorite competition covers, and a few original songs.
The duo plan to release a new song every two weeks until the set is released on Sept. 30. This week, an original titled “Take Me” is available for download, and your listening pleasure.
“We’re extremely excited to have ‘Take Me’ be the first original song released from this record. It’s one that came together almost on accident in Nashville a few months ago,” Alex shared with Just Jared. “Sierra misheard one of our co-writers and thought he said something else, but that miscommunication led to writing the line ‘Where do you go when you fall asleep?’ Those words sparked the idea to write a song about being head over heels for someone who doesn’t always know how to speak their mind.”
He added, “So you’re lying awake at night, and turn over to see them asleep and your mind starts to wander. What are they dreaming about? What’s going on in there? What are they running from? And it’s sort of a longing to be in that dream with the person you love, just to be close. Hope you guys like it”
