According to the Daily Mail, Simon Cowell has a bad case of bronchitis and has to pull out of the upcoming X Factor auditions in Kansas City. Lois Walsh, who is a judge on the UK version of X Factor is said to be taking Simon’s place:
X Factor boss Simon Cowell will miss the Kansas auditions this week after being struck down with bronchitis.
The 52-year-old, who sits on the panel with LA Reid and new recruits Britney Spears and Demi Lovato, has drafted in UK judge Louis Walsh to take his place at the last minute.
While music manager Walsh will be a new face to U.S. audiences, he is a long-standing fixture on the British show – where hot British export One Direction were formed.
‘Louis is really excited,’ a source close to Louis told MailOnline exclusively.
‘He’s going to have to get on a jet almost immediately so he can make it in time.’
Cowell, who rarely misses a show, is understood to be recovering at his home in Los Angeles.
