X Factor – Stacy Francis – Interview with Man She Accuses of Abuse

<I became bored with the Stacy Francis controversy almost the minute it began. As I said before, my problem with her as an X Factor contestant has nothing to do with her extensive background in show business. I can even forgive the video package that depicted a crying Stacy leading viewers to believe she was a single stay-at-home mom who pined for the bright lights, rather than the seasoned professional that she is–editing can be misleading.

No, my issue  with her has to do with some of the statements she’s made on twitter–about not working for the past 12 years,  for instance, when it’s clearly been proven by VFTW and others that it’s not the case.

More proof that Stacy is a dissembler and a fibber comes from The Village Voice, of all places. They scored the first interview with the ex-husband who reportedly “abused” her. He denies her allegations, and also tells a tale of supporting her in her quest for stardom.

He paints a picture of a woman who wanted to become very very famous at any cost. Also, the Voice has more on Stacy’s relationship with Scientology. And on that, I have to say that Scientology has a well documented history of abusing its members and harassing their so called enemies. I don’t think Stacy should be kicked off the show if it’s proven she’s a Sci, but it definitely colors my opinion of her. I haven’t thrown away my Beck records since I learned he was a member of the controversial sect, but it sure was disappointing news.
