The obvious – and correct – answer is Columbia, the operation formerly helmed by now-Sony Music CEO Rob Stringer.
But it turns out the truth is actually a little more nuanced than that.
Sign Of The Times is credited on streaming services as ‘Erskine Records Ltd under exclusive license to Columbia Records’.
In a not-that-surprising move, Styles has followed the example of fellow pop superstars such as Beyonce and set up his own record company.
Erskine is where the rights to Sign Of The Times (and Styles’ forthcoming other solo work) will presumably revert after his Columbia license deal is through.
Styles is also a director of companies including HSA Publishing Ltd (founded: 2014) and Rollcall Touring Ltd (founded: 2012).
Smart boy, that one.

HARRY STYLES DEBUT ALBUM SCHEDULED FOR RELEASE ON MAY 12
The much-anticipated debut solo album from Harry Styles will be released on May 12 – with pre-orders available from tomorrow (April 14).
The 10-track self-titled set features the lead single ‘Sign of the Times’, which topped iTunes charts in over 84 countries upon release day.
The album was executive produced by Jeff Bhasker, with additional production from Alex Salibian, Tyler Johnson and Kid Harpoon.
The physical album release includes a gate-fold vinyl LP, digipak CD as well as a special limited edition CD format that includes a 32-page hardcover book featuring exclusive photos taken during the recording process. All album formats are available for pre-order starting from tomorrow.

Harry Styles pulled back the curtain just a bit on his new album on Thursday (Apr. 13) with the news that the self-titled, 10-song solo debut will drop on May 12. And while the announcement still leaves plenty of questions — why is Harry face-down and shirtless in a pool of pink water on the cover? Who helped him write the songs? — one thing we do know is which producers helped the former One Direction star craft the tunes.
Styles has already served notice that he’s willing to go a bit off the beaten path for his solo bow, starting with the Bowie-meets-Pink-Floyd, Coldplay-meets-Eric-Carmen sound of the first single, “Sign of the Times.” But his choice of producers is also a signal that he’s not content to play by the rules.

LOUIS Tomlinson will not be charged over his airport brawl with a photographer in LA last month.
The One Direction singer was arrested following the bust-up on March 3 at Los Angeles International Airport when he was travelling with his girlfriend Eleanor Calder.
But the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office said the 25-year-old will only be called to a hearing before the authority.
A spokesman said: “Each of the parties will be interviewed regarding the incident and advised of the law and ways to avoid similar incidences in the future.
“Typically there is no further action taken by our office after the hearing, though we do reserve the right to file charges up to one year from the date of the original incident should additional information or future actions require additional measures.”

Ed Sheeran has settled a multi-million dollar legal dispute over song writing credits for his 2014 track Photograph.
The British singer, 26, was accused of making a ‘note-for-note copy’ of a Martin Harrington and Thomas Leonard song called Amazing, released by former The X Factor winner Matt Cardle seven years ago.
In court documents obtained by MailOnline in June 2016, Harrington and Leonard, along with HaloSongs, were seen to action against Ed and his co-writer, Snow Patrol star Johnny McDaid in a $20 million (£16 million) lawsuit.

Jahmene Douglas has penned an open letter to his fans entitled: ‘Sorry’… following a series of worrying Twitter posts written last month, in which he revealed his battle with suicidal thoughts.
Taking to Twitter, the 26-year-old singer, whose father, Eustace subjected him, his mother Mandy and late brother Daniel to years of horrific abuse, explained that he was doing his best to battle with his feelings, as he tried to explain why he felt the way he did.
Jahmene has previously admitted his brother saved him from taking his own life years before, but he tragically committed suicide just three years later, in 2009.

13 is unlucky for some, including Ed Sheeran whose thirteen-week stint at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart has come to an end.
Harry Styles scores his first Number 1 as a solo artist with debut single Sign Of The Times. Taken from his fortchoming self-titled debut album, due for release May 12, Sign Of The Times pipped Ed’s Shape Of You to the top spot by just over 3,000 copies, the track has been downloaded 39,000 times and accumulated 3.5 million streams in the seven days since its release.
It’s not all bad though for Ed – Shape of You (2) and Galway Girl (3) are still both in the Top 5, while Shape of You was the most streamed track of the week with 6.8 million plays.
