Boot Camp of X Factor UK season 10 is very different.
As you know, Gary Barlow is mentoring the groups, Louis Walsh the boys, Nicole Scherzinger the girls and Sharon Osbourne the overs.
Acts are already split according to their categories (for example, the overs all perform one after the other).
There are 6 chairs to the side of the stage. Each mentor has 6 slots to fill for the next round – judges’ houses.
Each act will sing, then the mentor decides whether to put them through or not. If they go through, they take one of the 6 seats. However, once the 6 slots for the category are filled, mentor can still put through another act by eliminating one of the 6 acts previously chosen. Basically, “a yes” is only “a yes” for as long as you are in the TOP 6 of your mentor. 6 acts per category advance to the judges’ houses and I guess 3 from each category will make it to the live shows.
