In a new twist this season, the X Factor UK groups were determined by twitter vote. The votes have been “counted and verified” says the official X Factor website, and they can now reveal who Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Nick Grimshaw and Rita Ora will be mentoring this year.
Simon has The Overs, Cheryl The Groups, Rita The Girls and Nick The Boys.
Simon asked fans to give him The Girls, but they went right ahead and stuck him with The Overs. He seems a little disappointed. Simon had The Overs last season.

Cheryl got what she wanted–The Groups. She got her start in the popular UK group, Girls Aloud, so it’s all good! Rita also got what she wanted, but apparently, Nick was hoping to snatch the groups from Cheryl. Too bad, he’ll have to settle for The Boys. At least he didn’t get the Overs. Count your blessings, mate.
