Dancing With the Stars – Who Will Win Tonight?
Yesterday, I made the prediction that Lance and Lacey would take home Dancing with the Star’s coveted Mirror Ball Trophy…
Sadly, I have to report that after watching last night’s show, I’m forced to change my mind.
It’s particularly painful because the nice folks at AOL posted my prediction in a DWTS feature article, making me look even worse to have to eat my words… Sigh.
Last night’s scores left Lancey trailing 5 points behind Brooke and Derek, and I don’t believe fan votes can make up the deficit. The contestants have one more dance tonight, and I suspect Brooke and Derek will lead the board again tonight. The judges love them!
Brooke and Derek for the win? Sniff.

I agree sadly. I have never watched this show before this season. And the only reason I have tuned is because of Team Lancey. They are the only ones who have not made me completely bored watching ballroom. They bring fire and pizazz to the dance floor and I love it. Brooke and Derek’s freestyle was really good last night and I actually enjoyed watching them for once, but the over-the-top comments from the judges gave no one else even a chance to catch them. I doubt I will watch another season.

MJ, I think you are most likely right. However, I picked Warren at the beginning, and after last night, I would still rather see him win. So, I’m sticking with him and probably blowing my pool position completely. But, if I’m going to be wrong, I’d rather be wrong in a BIG way!
I’m still thinking Lance will win because I think he does have a big enough fan base to help him win.
I picked Warren at the very beginning, too, Bobbi, so I stuck with him. Like you, I figured I would just blow up in a big way rather than limp over the finish line, plus (unlike Bobbi!) I’ve never been at the top of the list, so I won’t miss that front-of-the-pack feeling when I finish lower.
I guess I don’t much care who wins other than the pool. I’ve never liked Lacey — seriously, she bugs, big time — so L&L ain’t ma style, and Brooke may be pretty, but I don’t find her very engaging, and I don’t like Derek all that much, either. I like Kym and I would like to see her win, plus Warren is pretty darn adorable, but he certainly isn’t the best dancer, so…
Yeah, I’ll be fine no matter who wins. I do think this was a pretty down year for the show. I haven’t been paying attention to the ratings, but it wouldn’t surprise me if they were dipping this year.
I think I was always pulling for Lancey, because I’m such a big SYTYCD fan and I was so happy Lacey had joined the show- and had been on their side until that sucky 15-second solo Lance had last week. I’d like to see Derek win one of these years, because his sister and best friend/surrogate brother have both won and he hasn’t. As a big person myself, I was proud of Warren, until I read that he “snapped and threw Derek against the wall” during a rehearsal where he came in late and then was getting frustrated because he was having a hard time following the routine.

I’m still disappointed that Cloris didn’t win. After she left, it just doesn’t matter.
Same here, except make that Lance instead of Warren, and I only picked him after Misty left.
I still think there’s an outside chance that one of the guys could win, but rest assured that if the vote is close and a 30 on her final dance would give Brooke the win, the judges will definitely give her a 30 for her last dance then score the guys lower, even though they usually give all the couples 30’s for that final dance. As the MSNBC recap said today, they’ve made it LOUD and CLEAR (all season long) who they want (like the song for her freestyle last night was a coincidence, if they’ve been picking the music all season long. Heh.).
Well, according to DialIdol.com – Warren wins. Unfortunately, myfavorite (Lance) is listed as 3rd. It’s a complete Joke! I’m sorry Warren is a great guy…but 10 for entertainment. Plus, I had all kinds of problems voting for Lance!!! I continually got busy signals. When I finally got through, I got the message that I used up all my votes. Oh, NO I DIDN’T!!! I am really sad about this.

I mean seriously the only reason i want Lance and Lacey to win is so Lacey receives the money. (I’m under the impression the pro who wins gets a hefty bonus. Read it somewhere awhile ago.)
Although Lance was a trooper throughout the season, I dance think Lacey is all that great at ballroom. I’m hoping that Brooke and Derek do win, because IMO they deserve it.
Brooke and Derek might be the best technically, but they kind of leave me cold.

Sadly I agree with you, I loved Lancey but last night was the time to bring it hard and they just didnt – technically but they had personality, spark, charisma – they had all of that and them some. Boy I just did not enjoy watching Brooke, she was stiff, akward but for the most part technically correct. I would love to see Warren or Lance over that really, any day.
Ol Cloris helped me lose badly in the pool long ago so it would not make a difference in my placement whether I kept Lancey or changed. That said, I am sticking with Lancey. Lancey has entertained me all season long.

Even though Warren and Kym supposedly had the highest scores on dial idol, many people vote via the Internet. Plus, the judges scores count a lot.
I loved Lance and Lacey this year, but have to agree that they didn’t bring it last night. What they did was good but needed to have more tricks. Boo Hoo. Brooke and Derek were the best but I still don’t enjoy watching Brooke. I love Warren – he is like a big teddy bear. I hope one of the guys win but am thinking it will be Brooke…. hope I’m wrong though.
