The FOX hit show Glee just announced a new member of the cast, set to debut on the series premiere, September 21.

Chord Overstreet, who appeared on iCarly and the pilot for ABC’s No Ordinary Family will play Sam, “a McKinley high school athlete who starts off as Finn (Cory Monteith)’s protégé but becomes his competition.”

You can check out the 21 year-old musician’s country stylings at his My Space page HERE.

Also joining the cast, according to TV Guide, is Dot Jones who will be joining the Fox comedy in Season 2 as a new football coach.

A favorite of executive producer, Ryan Murphy, she previously appeared as Tess on Nip/Tuck and had a role on Murphy’s unaired 2008 pilot Pretty/Handsome with Glee’s Mike O’Malley (Kurt’s dad) and Jonathan Groff (Jesse).  Jones also appeared on episodes of 10 Things I Hate About You and HawthoRNe.

Other Season 2 guest stars will include singer Charice, playing an exchange student and rival to Lea Michele (Rachel) and John Stamos, who will portray a dentist and potential love interest for Jayma Mays (Emma).

Also coming back, according to Murphy are Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth.

Ryan Murphy spilled some pretty awesome spoilers at the Glee Comic Con panel in San Diego yesterday. Get all the deets right HERE.
