Jennifer Hudson – GMA – The View – VIDEO

Jennifer Hudson visited Good Morning America and The View this morning. She performed what will undoubtedly be her next single “If This Isn’t Love” (I listened to the entire album and this is hardly my fav on the album, but it’s got those crazy beats–it should do well on the radio).

On The View, Jennifer chatted with the girls about her upcoming wedding, singing the Anthem for Obama, and her album which she says she’s tried to have “something for everyone.” After the interview, she performed her current single “Spotlight.”

ETA: I added her Friday night performance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno… There’s a preview of a scene from her new movie “A Secret Life of Bees” with Dakota Fanning.

  • This past week, I wore out “If This Isn’t Love”. I think I’m addicted. These commercial songs seem to be like the “Pied Piper of Music” for me. I just follow…blindly.

    Isn’t American Idol INCREDIBLE.
I mean…it makes me teary-eyed thinking about what it has done for these kids.
Its really a miracle if you think about it.
I always thought Jennifer was under -appreciated on the show, but i also felt like she was outshined by some of the other contestants (no not John Stevens). but im glad she is where she is. i got to meet her for the Season 5 auditions in Chicago (of course at the time she was not famous other than AI and my mom got a pic with her, and i opted to take a picture with George Huff instead…lol….*still kicking self to date*)

Corporate music – blech! Doesn’t do one thing for me. I think Jennifer is WAY more talented than this dreck.

  • Jennifer was definitely under-appreciated on the show. But, there’s no denying the growth from her first AI performance – “Imagine” – to her final AI performance – “Weekend in New England”. She has made some enormous steps since her Idol debut. She’s also showing increasingly better vocal control in her live performances.

I think it’s brilliant that her album is coming out four years later. It’s like she’s ready for it now.

She is a very pretty girl. I am really happy for her! Go Jennifer, good luck tomorrow. :)

Exactly, many could see her potential then, but she just wasn’t ready yet. Now she is.

I ordered Jennifer and Kellie’s albums this morning from Amazon. I liked Spotlight when I heard Jen sing it on the View and I like her voice overall. These are the first cds Ive bought from Idols since season 5. I did download Crush but don’t really like it.

  • I really like this song, I need to give the rest of her album a listen. It was the coolest thing this past weekend though, VH1’s top 20 countdown had Jordin’s song # 16 on the countdown, then came David A at 15 and then Jennifer at 14 – Daughtry at 2. Yes American Idol is incredible Duke
